LET IT GROW
There needs to be hair to have a successful waxing service. Let hair grow for at least 3 weeks, or until it’s 1/4″ long.
If you’re taking antibiotics, wait at least 3 to 4 weeks after your dose to avoid lifting your skin.
Discontinue the use of retinol based products for 3-5 days before waxing to avoid injury and irritation.
AFTER WAXING TIPS:
Keep your skin hydrated and moisturized between visits can help prevent those pesky ingrown hairs.
LOOSE THE RAZOR
Avoid the razor between waxing. It can throw off your hair growth cycle and cause hair to grow faster between visits.
SKIP THE SUN
Your skin is more sensitive after waxing, so avoid sun exposure for a good 48 hours after.
KEEP IT SMOOTH
Exfoliate on a daily basis with an antibacterial mitt or a nice sugar scrub.
If you are prone to ingrown hairs, try a product with salicylic to help reduce inflammation and breakouts from ingrown hairs.
If you have substantial hair growth, coarse hair, or sensitivities after shaving, waxing can cut down or eliminate these problems all together. It’s a win-win, especially during the summer months.
