Shannon received her Masters of Science Nursing and Bachelor of Science Nursing degrees at Seattle Pacific University. She is Board Certified in Family Practice with a diverse background in Neurological Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery/Surgical First Assistant, and Aesthetic Medicine. Shannon is also a licensed Cosmetologist and graduate of the Gene Juarez Advanced Training Salon Design program.
Her aesthetics practice is guided by the marriage of the art and science of these disciplines as well as her Northwest roots. She tailors her approach to enhance and balance your own unique facial structure and shape, creating a more natural-looking result.
Shannon was raised in downtown Edmonds and has lived on the Kitsap Peninsula. In her free time she enjoys anything outdoors. Some of her favorite activities are gardening, boating, being at the beach, and spending time with her family.
Dr. Alex Sobel has been in private practice exclusively in cosmetic surgery for ten years and has thousands of cosmetic surgical and aesthetic procedures to his credit. He is triple board certified in Cosmetic Surgery, Facial Cosmetic Surgery, and Otolaryngology/Facial Plastic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. A past recipient of the William K. Miles, M.D. award for the highest written exam score in Cosmetic Surgery, Dr. Sobel has served as an examiner for the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery for the past seven years. Dr. Sobel is also, currently, the immediate Past President of the American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery and the Vice President of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery.
Dr. Sobel has both lectured on a variety of topics, including liposuction, facelifts, laser resurfacing, facial fat grafting, otoplasty, breast augmentation and breast enhancement with fat grafting at several nationally and internationally-renown conferences. Dr. Sobel has also instructed other surgeons in many cosmetic procedures at several cadaveric teaching courses. He has published on topics including the intra-oral technique of injectable fillers – a method which drastically reduces inflammation and bruising potential, increases patient comfort, and leaves no injection marks. For the past six years, he has also served as a reviewer for the American Journal of Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Sobel is a proud member of the American Society of Liposuction Surgery and co-chair of the World Congress on Liposuction 2017.
Committed to the education of others, Dr. Sobel is proud to have trained other surgeons in the field of General Cosmetic and Facial Cosmetic Surgery via his AACS-accredited fellowship and through his lectures and demonstrations at meetings and courses. Further, Dr. Sobel is adjunct clinical faculty for Pacific Northwest University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine and is a governor-appointed member of the Washington State Osteopathic Medical Board.
