This past April, the Gene Juarez Artistic Team collaborated with Luly Yang, Seattle’s first and premier couture designer. This is the 10th year we have been chosen by Luly to work on her collection launch.
This season’s collection, Crescendo, was the launch of the fashion trilogy exploring Luly’s love affair with music.
Presented to Luly’s VIP clientele over a rich lunch and signature wines at the Capital Grill in Seattle, Luly’s collection featured fashion vignettes inspired by Romantic Classical, Jazz, and Electronic music. Day dresses, cocktail suits, and evening gowns were accompanied by a series of striking brunette bobs, nude make-up, matte nude nails and ending with a rich black lip.
The clone like sameness of hairstyles, make-up and nails transformed Seattle’s gorgeous models into timeless mannequins that we could imagine dancing throughout each of the mysterious, sexy, and bold musical genres.
Crescendo will show in Vienna and San Francisco this summer, and back in Seattle with Bridal in the Fall.
