Keep Your Nails Looking Good While Gardening

It’s a beautiful sunny day in Seattle and gardening may be on your mind! To keep the soil out of your nails and in the garden, try these quick nail-saving gardening tips from our Nail Educator Beverly.

Before you put your gardening gloves on, wet a bar of soap and drag your nails along the surface. The soap gets under your nails and keeps the dirt out. Then apply a thick layer of heavy duty hand cream, followed by CND Solar Oil (Available at Gene Juarez Salons & Spas). Massage the hand cream into each fingernail and Solar Oil on your cuticles before putting on your gardening gloves.

When you are done gardening, simply wash your hands. The soap rinses out, while the lotion and Solar Oil leave your hands soft.

Healthy, well-groomed nails make for better looking hands. To keep your nails in tip-top shape, we also recommend weekly Manicures.
