October Fashion Shows

We have just returned from New York where the Gene Juarez Team Artistic team was entrenched in spring 2009 planning. Our mission: casting models, communing with fashionistas, and getting inspiration off the streets!
But before NY we had to make fall fashion come to life right here in the great Pacific Northwest. Team Artistic has had the pleasure of translating our vision for two major fashion events. On October 10th we made magic happen for the Bellevue Club Fall Fashion Luncheon and Luly Yang Couture 20/20 Runway Show (benefiting Camp Korey for children with chronic or life-threatening illnesses).
For the Bellevue Club, we presented four looks from our Fall Campaign “Shape.Shine.Style”. We placed a blonde, redhead, honey brown, and raven brunette on the runway. Team Artistic rushed the stage to transform the models from day to evening looks in a matter of 10 minutes! Music pumping and flashbulbs going off, it was the fashion moment of the day! Our mission was to show the ease at which a woman could leave a day at the office or running the kids around and transform her look with a change of a lip and easily pull back her hair in the modern low braided bun of the moment.
Now Luly Yang is the closest to a NY fashion show this city has ever seen! Luly Yang Couture hosts a benefit fashion extravaganza each year in the fall. We were asked to do the hair and makeup for 22 of Luly’s best clients who walked the runway during the cocktail hour along with 5 fantastic kids from Camp Korey! Then the fashion really rocked with Luly’s 20/20 Collection. Team Artistic styled 16 professional models in beautiful Samurai rope braids with smokey eyes and pale lips! The final look was intelligent drama and enough sexy to go around. Please visit Team Photogenic for a look at all the runway photos and be sure to check out the ‘Couture Fashion Show’ segment.
While celebrating Fall, the salons are in full swing with rich hair color and luscious locks walking out our doors…I now turn to Spring 2009 preparations.
