Go With Gorgeous Skin This Spring!

SPRING IS HERE! DETOX YOUR MIND, BODY AND SKIN.

GO FOR A STROLL, BREATHE THE FRESH AIR, OXYGENATE YOURSELF! Listen to the birds (yes they do sing now) and treat yourself to a complete renewal of mind, body and spirit. What better time of year than Spring, when everything comes alive again, to do the same for yourself?

I bet you must feel that new energy running through your whole body. I do! But, is your skin a little dry? Lacking tone? A bit gray looking? (ahh!) Don't fret, because beautiful solutions exist to shed those layers of dead skin cells that have accumulated over the winter months (or even years)! There are products that can help literally revitalize your skin. Specifically, I really enjoy the new Go! Gorgeous Kit from Skin Authority. What is great about this kit is that it is trial-sized so you can try it out and see the results for yourself. In the kit, you are provided a 20-day supply of four key products:

  • A Daily Cleanser which is fragrance free to loosen dead skin cells.
  • A Tri Power Peptides Accelerator that promotes healthy cell growth and intensely hydrates.
  • A Resurfacing Accelerator that powerfully exfoliates to improve rough, scarred, dry, dull skin.
  • An SPF 30 Sunscreen Moisturizer to protect against damaging UVA and UVN ultraviolet rays. Rated UVA 4-stars.

In just a couple of steps each morning and night, skin is exfoliated and the speed of cell renewal intensifies. Also, skin is detoxified, hydrated and protected. The result is that skin is firmer, smoother and more radiant–ready to glow in the rising sunshine!

Simply beautiful, I'd say!

Keeping Your Polish Perfect

You’ve made the decision this year to invest in looking and feeling your best. Taking better care of your half bitten-down, I-don’t-own-a-file nails goal might be ranked somewhere between working out everyday and no eating after 7:00 pm.

So you’ve just had a manicure and your nails have never looked so good. Note to self: Remember to use Jag-U-Are (Essie red hot nail polish) on toes for red hot date on Saturday!
Day 1 - Nails look great
Day 2 - Nails look good
Day 3 - Hmmm?
Day 4 - Where did I put that polish remover!

Total frustration, right?!

Ever wondered why your polish only looks good for a few days?  Every time you wash your hands, reach into your purse, get dressed, etc. microscopic layers of your topcoat are worn off, leaving your polished nails looking dull and less than perfect.

There is a solution—clear topcoat. (My personal favorite is Seche Vite, but any clear topcoat will do.)

Apply a layer of clear topcoat over your polished nails everyday…yes, everyday. The best time is at the end of your day. (This could help with the “no eating after 7:00 pm” goal.) Start at the cuticle area moving down towards the free edge using even brush strokes. Remember to cap the ends of your nails with a light swiping motion of the brush. This will seal and protect your nail polish color. The result is beautiful shiny polish that can last up to a week.

Remember to treat your nails like jewels, not tools!

Maternity Massage

During this magical time of creation, everyone is commenting on your glow and cute baby bump, but all you can think of is how nauseous, bloated and achy you feel. You might be experiencing everything from bumping into tables, heartburn, not being able to tie your shoes, not being able to fit into your shoes, constantly needing to know where the closest bathroom is at all times, stretch marks that pop up over night, to all the random aches and pains.

Never fear, there is a cure for all of these symptoms…just have the baby. No, really there’s nothing you can do to speed along the process, but a Maternity Massage can help ease the symptoms along the way and help a pregnant mother feel truly cared for.

To help women cope with these changes, prenatal massage has a number of benefits for mothers-to-be:
  • To help you relax
  • To reduce fatigue
  • Ease tense or sore spots
  • Release muscle spasms or cramps
  • Reduce swelling
  • Improve circulation
  • Improve digestion
  • Hydrate and heal the skin
  • Create an increased sense of well-being
  • To relax and sooth the baby
Our Maternity Massage is performed by our highly-trained therapists who provide customized techniques with our luxurious Mama Mio line of products, leaving you feeling relaxed and refreshed from head to toe. Your experience is tailored for every stage of pregnancy, keeping you and your baby safe and comfortable.

So what can you do right now at home to take care of yourself? Every pregnant woman should be using daily products to help her skin with those 9 months of s-t-r-e-t-c-h. During these 9 months, not only does your skin have to stretch farther than ever before, but your baby is absorbing your body’s natural Omega 3, 6, and 9s, making your skin less supple and elastic. This is why it is so important to apply topical omegas to your body. So for all those Supermamas and Supermamas-to-be, we feature our pre and post all-natural pregnancy safe body care line by Mama Mio. This omega rich body care line helps maintain the skin’s elasticity and can overall help your skin stretch and recover.

For a woman in any stage of pregnancy, this is a perfect gift—especially if it’s for you! Call and book a Maternity Massage today.
