Our Hiring Process

Hiring: this is how it works

Gene Juarez Hiring Process

Step one:  Review and select an available position. Complete the online employment questionnaire and attach your resume as a Word, PDF or Text document if requested. (We prefer candidates to attach their resumes, however, if you would like to talk with someone from recruiting before starting the process, please feel free to call our Recruiting Department at 425.748.1430.)

Step two:  After you have completed the online questionnaire and attached your resume, an automatic email response will be sent to your email address to let you know that we have received your employment questionnaire.

Step three:  Our hiring managers review job applications and resumes on a daily basis. As a general rule, employment questionnaires are reviewed within 3-5 days and applicants who qualify for the open positions are contacted within a week for a phone interview by one of our recruiters.

Step four:  Generally 5-7 days after a phone interview, a face-to-face interview will be scheduled for those candidates whose qualifications fit the needs of each job position. You will be sent an application to complete before your interview. Bring the completed, signed application with you to your face-to-face interview.

Step five:  Before making an offer, Gene Juarez Salons & Spas will conduct an extensive background investigation that includes a criminal background check and in most cases, a credit check.

Step six:  Depending on the position you are applying for, you may be asked to complete a profile test, which will provide us with additional information on your availability, skills, and experience.

Step seven:  If you are identified as the best fit for the position, a hiring manager or one of our recruiters will invite you either to join our Advanced Training program, or to become an employee of the Gene Juarez team depending on the type of position.

Hair Designers and Colorists

Once you have completed a successful application process and interview, you may be invited to audition at the Gene Juarez Advanced Training Salon. This is the final step toward becoming an associate and eventually an artist with Gene Juarez Salons. The audition is designed to be an accurate assessment of your skills.

Results will be given by phone or by mail within five business days of your audition. If you have any additional questions regarding the audition process or employment with Gene Juarez Salons & Spas, please contact the Gene Juarez Recruiting Department at 425.748.1430 or careers@genejuarez.com
